About Our People

Andrew Galbraith

Andrew Galbraith

Director & General Manager

With over 30 years experience in the building industry, Andrew combines a strong work ethic with energy and a talent for business management making him ideal to lead the Qestbuild team.

A devoted family man, he is the father of 3 children (2 of whom are now married) including a son Joel who is currently apprenticed to Qestbuild. Kara the German Shepherd is also a treasured part of the family.

4 x 4 expeditions, camping, mountain biking and kayaking are among Andrews choices for the limited spare time he has while building furniture from recycled timber is also a favourite.

Ashleigh Cresswell

Ashleigh Cresswell

Project Manager & Site Supervisor

‘Ash’ as he is known to us, qualified as a carpenter over 25 years ago and worked as a tradesman before moving into a project management role some 18 years ago.

Well known for his fastidious attention to detail he coordinates every project in the same way as he would his own home, and the stunning results and delighted clients bear testament to this.

A great dad to his 3 growing children, a keen surfer who also loves to tinker with cars and get away camping when he can, Ash’s quiet demeanour belies the dedicated effort he puts into everything he does.

Michael Hull

Michael Hull

Project Manager

Michael began working for Qestbuild many years ago as a tradesman and quickly earned a reputation for the prodigious volume of work he could produce.

Having now moved into a project management role his priorities have changed but he still gains satisfaction from contributing to the work on site.

Being competent in a wide range of building and mechanical skills adds to Michael’s value as a project manager and also means he is a good man to have around the home.

Chris Galbraith

Chris Galbraith

Estimator & Project Manager

Chris joined the Qestbuild team 13 years ago following many years working as a carpenter and site supervisor and now fills the estimating role as well as assisting our clients with the myriad of decisions that need to be made throughout the building process.

Regularly ribbed as the ‘old man’ at Qestbuild, 2 married sons & 5 grandchildren help to keep him smiling although a chance to go windsurfing or paddleboarding usually get a bigger smile.

Also sharing a love of working with recycled timber, it’s not uncommon to find Chris searching through demolition materials looking for some hidden treasure.

Steve Billson

Steve Billson

Architectural Draughtsman

Steve has been part of the team for 13 years and as well as contributing to the design process he is our CAD draughtsman and a guru when it comes to obtaining planning and building permits.

Two young sons take up plenty of his time and Steve is a very willing worker for his extended family but if there is any time to spare he loves getting out in the garden and has also taken on a number of serious home improvement projects over the last few years.

A keen interest in a wide range of sports including AFL, Formula 1 and Tour De France means that getting up late at night to check on the kids isn’t always a chore and Steve takes this in his stride.
